Check the shows' website
to see if you can pre-register.
Be patient at the registration
booth - shows use this information to award prizes and vendors
use it to send out information about special promotions.
Wear comfortable clothing
and shoes. Depending on
the venue, you could be walking on concrete!
Bring preprinted self-adhesive
address labels. This will save time and allow you to sign up
for giveaways quickly. Bring a pen and print very clearly when
registering for anything. Be sure to include your apartment
or condo number on the address line.
Bring your checkbook
if you want to book a particular vendor's services, or hold
your date with a deposit. Read contracts carefully, checking
refund policies before giving any money, or signing on the dotted
line.
Bring your datebook
so that you can schedule meetings with vendors you are interested
in talking with after the show.
Collect any information
you are interested in -
take it home to look over again when
you have some quiet time.
Most vendors offer show
specials that are good for
a week or two following the show.
If you are out of town,
send your mother or friend
to collect information on services you need.
It is nice if your
fiancé attends - if he is interested. Warn him that it could
be up to 3 to 4 hours of his day; you don't want to miss anything
because he got bored.
